Pre-requisites
D4 recognizes that situations arise where a team’s goalie and rostered affiliate goalie may not be available to participate in a game. In this situation, an emergency affiliation procedure has been defined that will allow a team to play:
- A non-rostered affiliate from a lower division/category
- A non-rostered affiliate from the same division/category (i.e. a lateral affiliation)
Pre-requisites
- A team must have exhausted all options for obtaining a goalie for the game
- The procedure applies only to the day of the game. For morning games, a 12 hour pre-game window applies so arrangements can be made the evening before the game.
- A team having an urgent need for an affiliate goaltender approaches their association convenor and the request bubbles upward to the association president
- The association president seeks the permission of the LCMHL Predident (or District Chair) for the emergency goalie affiliation via email
- As a courtesy, the opposing team’s association president and league president are CC’d on the request
- The President/District Chair communicates their decision
